A visionary leader with a distinguished professional track record of strategic leadership, Mr. Abdullatif Abdulla Ahmed Al Mulla currently serves as Chairman of Imdaad Group.
With an illustrious career in senior executive roles across multiple sectors, Mr. Al Mulla has successfully managed leading companies and developed commercially and strategically viable projects. His extensive experience in major industries such as real estate and IT has equipped him with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities across diverse sectors. Some of his notable previous roles include Group Chief Executive Officer of RMB, a conglomerate in real estate development and contracting; Group CEO of Dubai Properties Group (DPG); Group CEO of TECOM Investments, part of Dubai Holding; CEO of SmartCity, which oversees the development and management of knowledge clusters and business townships globally; and General Manager of Microsoft Gulf.
Among his remarkable professional achievements is his instrumental role in the growth of TECOM Investments' 11 business communities, which played a pivotal role in Dubai’s transformation into a knowledge-based economy. He also led negotiations with numerous insurance firms, establishing innovative agreements across life, home, and corporate/financial products. During his nine-year tenure at Microsoft’s regional headquarters in Dubai, he oversaw the development of subsidiaries in the Gulf, Yemen, and Pakistan and was actively involved in securing Microsoft's first-ever enterprise agreement globally with the Dubai Government - an achievement that firmly positioned Dubai on Microsoft’s radar.
Mr. Al Mulla holds master’s degrees in Public Administration and Economic and Social Development from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree in Corporate Communications from Duquesne University. He also obtained a Ph.D. from AMITY University.
He has served on the boards of several prestigious organizations, including TECOM Investments, Dubai Properties, Dubai Education Council (KHDA), Muscat Bank, Marfin Investment, Axiom Telecom, American University in UAE, Sheikh Hamdan Smart University, UTICO Utilities, Empower, Energy Management Services, Raffles School, Global International Schools, SmartCity (Malta and Kerala-India), SHUAA Capital PSC., and Abu-Dhabi National Takaful Company. He was a member of the H.H. Sheikh Zayed Award for Environment Dubai Financial LLC.
During his tenure at Microsoft, Mr. Al Mulla was conferred the Microsoft High Distinguished President Award in 1998. He was also a member of the Microsoft Middle East and Africa Leadership Program and was considered one of the highest-rated General Managers in the world.
